Novelty Book Fair: Thursday – Friday, March 15 & 16 from 8am-3pm

Dear parents, alumni & friends,

As you have seen, our new library media centre is on its way to becoming a reality and is set to open in January 2013.

Phase 1 of our Vision 2020 Campaign covered the construction costs of this project. We are now in Phase 2 of the Campaign, which was recently launched to raise over US$200,000 to purchase furniture, books and technology for the new library.

As part of this effort, we have partnered with Novelty Trading Co. Ltd to launch our “Library Book Registry”. This Registry includes many of the books that we think our students will enjoy, as well as benefit from, during their time at Campion.

We are therefore urging you to come out and buy books from the Registry to donate to the new Library at the Novelty Book Fair to be held at Campion on Thursday and Friday, March 15 & 16 from 8am-3pm. The Fair will be held in the old chapel building by the Auditorium where our current library room is also located. (Please note that these are the same days as the 1st-4th Form parent-teacher consultations in the Auditorium.)

For their part, Novelty will be offering the books on the Registry at a 30-35% discount which means that these books are available from as low as J$300. We will also be putting special stickers with your child’s name in the books that you buy for the Library.

In addition, Novelty will have on hand a wide variety of books that you may be interested in for your own collection. They are also offering various discounts on these books for students and teachers and will accept cash or credit and debit cards.

Please remember that although we may have a building ready by the end of the year, we will have very little to put in it if you do not assist us with efforts such as these.

I look forward to your support.

With appreciation,

Grace Baston
Principal
