In the first phase of Campion’s ten-year Vision 2020 Campaign, the school renovated the four science labs which had not been upgraded in over 50 years. Campion’s students, teachers and the wider school family are deeply grateful to all our donors who have allowed us to achieve so much in such a short time. In particular, we recognize:
- Campionites Peter Bunting, MP, Chris Dehring & Senator Mark Golding for their gift of US$45,000 towards The DB&G Integrated Science Lab, which was opened on January 5, 2011.
- The Hendrickson Family for their gift of US$75,000 towards The Hendrickson Family Physics Lab and Lecture Room, which was opened on August 19, 2011. Some ten members of the Hendrickson family have attended Campion including siblings Kevin Hendrickson, Lori-Ann Lyn and Kathy Kerr.
- Past parents Dr and Mrs Devi Prasad V Potluri for their gift towards The Avinash Potluri Biology Lab which is named in memory of their son Avinash, a graduate of the Class of 1992. This lab was opened on September 23, 2011.
- The Tyre Warehouse Foundation and parent donors to the St Edmund Trust for their gift towards the Radley Reid Chemistry Lab named in honour of this teacher extraordinaire who served Campion for decades. This Lab was opened on September 30, 2013. Click here to read a tribute to Mr Reid.
Up next is the second phase of the Campaign which will focus on the complete renovation of the the upgrade of the sixth form lab and addition of a lab prep room. This is your opportunity to “pay it forward” by investing in future Jamaican scientists through your gift to our lab project. While naming rights are available for Leadership Donors, we welcome any donation online or by cheque.
